Pakistan ,Police Detain US Diplomat at Peshawar International Airport


Peshawar police have detained a U.S. citizen at Peshawar international airport on Tuesday morning, who was carrying ammunition from Peshawar to Islamabad.

According to S.P cantt Shabih Ul Hasan, airport security officials detained Arthur William Charles on Bacha Khan Airport in the early morning. He confirmed that Charles was detained by ASF and they sent him to Police Station West and are investigating.

According to police, Charles had a departure sheduled from Peshawar consulate to Islamabad and during searching ASF found the 17 9mm bullets, that’s why they detained him.

Police detained the U.S. Citizen at 7 am and after several hours they released the U.S. citizen.

After the release, SP cantt Shabih Ul Hessian confirmed that William Charles Arthur has a diplomatic passport and police have no right to detain him so he was released.
