WORLD NEWS From: To: News Section: Chinese students shot dead along with Pakistani guide in Peshawar

Peshawar, Pakistan – Unknown terrorists opened fire on Chinese students at Qissa Khawani Bazaar, Peshawar on Tuesday afternoon. The students were in vehicle when, according to local police, unknown assailants started firing on them during their visi to the Qissa Khawani Bazaar.

Police confirmed that a local guide and resident of the Nasir Bagh area, attached with GCU Lahore, was killed along with a Chinese woman. According to police, two unknown people on a motor bike opened fire on the group. After the incident, police cordoned off the area, but the attackers had already escaped the scene of the crime.

Police sent the bodies to Lady Reading Hospital for examination. Police founds 100 dollars and an expired passport on the Chinese woman. Police also found camera and laptop belonging to one of the victims.

No one took immediate responsibility for the killing in Peshawar city. First investigation reports were registered in the police station at Khan Raziq Shahed and police have started their investigation of the incident.

Police sources confirm that the Chinese student killed was Jaing Hua of Beijing University. The other victim is Mohammad Suleiman Shams son of Shamus Arifeen.
